The museum has direct access to 2 parking lots, both owned and operated by Republic Parking Northwest, Inc.

Bus

Pierce Transit

Exit at Pacific Ave & Hood St, which is approximately a 1-minute walk from Tacoma Art Museum.

  • Route 400 - Operates in South Hill, Downtown Puyallup, Tacoma Dome Station and Downtown Tacoma.
  • Route 500 - Operates in Federal Way, Fife, Milton and Downtown Tacoma.

Sound Transit

Exit at Pacific Ave & S 19th St, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the Tacoma Art Museum.

  • Route 590 - Operates in Downtown Seattle, SODO, Tacoma Dome and Downtown Tacoma.
    • The route begins to operate Southbound only after 9:52 a.m.
    • The route ends its Southbound operations after 7:35 p.m., where it will be replaced by Route 594.
  • Route 594 - Operates in Downtown Seattle, SODO, Tacoma Dome and Downtown Tacoma, and Lakewood.

Light Rail

Exit at Union Station, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from Union Station to the Tacoma Arts Museum.

  • T-Line - Operates between Downtown Tacoma and Tacoma Dome.
